Originally built in 1989, this three-story Vancouver Special in East Vancouver was transformed through a complete interior renovation designed to bring new life and functionality to the home.

Working within the existing structure presented a number of unique challenges, including the removal of multiple structural walls, relocating the main kitchen, and completely reimagining all three bathrooms. Each space was thoughtfully reconsidered to create a cohesive, functional home with lasting appeal.

With the homeowners looking to prepare the property for resale, the design was carefully developed to balance investment value with broad market appeal. A soft, neutral palette creates a sense of warmth and continuity throughout, while natural materials and subtle references to West Coast and Scandinavian design bring character and understated sophistication to the space.

The result is a bright, contemporary home that feels both inviting and enduring, with a thoughtful balance of beauty, function, and long-term value.
