CAPILANO HOUSE
NORTH VANCOUVER, BC
 · RESIDENTIAL · RENOVATION

Project Type: Complete Home Renovation
Project Scope: Interior Design & Furnishing
Year: 2023

Nestled in North Vancouver’s Capilano neighbourhood, this rancher was completely reimagined to create a light, serene interior with a distinctly Scandinavian influence, contrasted by a striking midnight-black exterior.

At the heart of the renovation was the home’s original brick fireplace, which played a significant structural role in supporting the existing roof. Rethinking this central element allowed us to open the main living spaces, improve sightlines between the kitchen and living area, and create a more natural sense of flow throughout the home.

A restrained palette of warm wood, soft neutrals, natural textures, and clean architectural details brings warmth and simplicity to the interior. The result is a home that feels calm, connected, and thoughtfully suited to everyday living.
